About Me
I have been making dolls professionally since 1971 but it wasn't until 1981, when I moved my studios to Knighton, Powys, that I made my first series of Welsh costume dolls.  They  were sold in the museum at St. Fagans and also in the famous department store in Cardiff, David Morgan.

In 1989, my husband Roger and myself were invited to represent Wales at The World Showcase of Dolls held in the Epcot Center, Florida.  I was the only Welsh doll artist in attendance and promoted a  limited edition of 50 Welsh pedlar dolls, especially created for the event.

Another of my interests is historical costume, and I have continued since then to expand my range of handmade dolls.  The Tudor kings and queens has always been very popular, and I can count several Royal Palaces and historical venues as customers.  Over the last ten years, since the advent of internet sales, I have enjoyed selling direct to collectors of my work, which I find it more much more satisfying.

In 1991 we moved further into Wales, having bought a stone-built cottage near the little village of Llanbister.  We work from home, and the picturesque view from my studio window is an inspiration for all my work.

Earlier this year I created a new range of Welsh dolls, again using my own original head scuptures and designs based on old prints and photographs.
I hope you enjoy my new website, where you can view the Ladies of Wales and read a little about their history. .
